The following note was original posted by Artner Melissa on our Tagged Journal in conjunction with  Tagged ArtLover Group's 2nd anniversary. I am also taking this opportunity to give my special thank to her, because without her this artist community would have not reach this far because of her passionate support and co-administration. Also not to be discounted are the support of ArtLover's all across the globe that keep our pages and sites alive.

While our friends in the US celebrated Thanksgiving last week, Fher and I have been planning ours for this day, 29th of November 2011. This 'date' marks not only Tagged ArtLovers' Second Anniversary ~ the birth of our group page, but also the beginning of a deep and creative relationship among artists all over the world.

I browsed our past journals and realized how much we have grown as a family. We started out with our Tagged friends ~ the 'best artists' we know:

Thanks Giving part 2: Widening Tagged ArtLovers Vision

We shared our artworks on the page and discussed how we could go about as a group with a vision and a mission. Again, as I wrote earlier, OUR vision is in line with the Pope's invitation in 2009 for artists to speak to the human soul... more than an exhibit show, we encourage friendship among the members. 

Fher presented CURES (Create Unite Respond Enlighten Share) as our official Vision Mission (statement is posted in our profile page)

As such, the group was not structured to sell artworks but to promote and share the members' unique skills and talents not only in drawing and painting but also in the different fields of art: dance, photography, poetry, sculpture, music, etc.

From Tagged to Facebook: Thanks Giving part 3

I was a witness as to how Fher innovated and renovated our page from the boxes, to artists' interviews to slideshows to finally reaching out to people through another social networking site ~ Facebook.

From a hundred, the group rose to two hundred or so members. I never saw it coming because most artist friends decided to become independent and solo to enhance their crafts. We left our doors open to all those who were willing to share themselves and devote time to art and friendship.

I create this space to thank Fher, my Artner and friend for two years. I have learned a lot from him not only in painting but also in human relationships. I thank God for our contrasting views at times ~ he was the extrovert administrator who promoted our  page and related with artists and friends while I mellowed a bit in browsing art works and keeping a huge number of followers.

He was also the one who introduced me to the blogging world ~ my infinite gratitude ARTner.

We thank Ms. Linda Flagg, for her continuous spiritual support and contribution to our page as well as ALL our artists who gave themselves generously and shared their works to us.

Inside My Art Partner's Heart

I remember a couple of month ago when I told Melissa to start making her own blog. This is just a no non-sense encouragement because I saw her passion in writing and this includes her innate ability to speak her heart in words. I am not saying this because she is my partner in building Tagged ArtLover Group but of pure admiration to her multi-faceted personality. Tell me who can play guitar and  piano so well and yet paint beautiful pictures? That was not all and I am about to tell you why ArtLover Group is lucky to have her as Co-Administrator.

Melissa's Passion...

   I've only known Melissa for a little less than 2 years. She was just an unfamiliar networking friend among the hundreds from Tagged social sites. Her photo just sits there among the members of Tagged ArtLover Group forum page, until she start pouring in great ideas and little anecdotes to the group. She expounded, challenges and extracted my Art of Realizationism. Through those exchanges of ideas and moot-pointing that are not at all that smooth with some little variation on perceptions and beliefs, I begun to notice her sincerity and passion in her chosen fields. The group forum page survive because of Melissa and the evolution into creating !! Tagged ArtLover Gallery !! came from her suggestion to have a single profile page for our members.
   She has kept the group alive, especially during those time when my computer shut down for a month or two. Taking care of the gallery by sending luvs, answering messages, and religiously greeting celebrants. The most surprising feat Melissa did for the group was compiling every detail Tagged ArtLover went through by writing a bulletin of our chronicle for the first anniversary celebration. She was indeed God send for the group for I could not have able to do all the big plans for the group without her. 
   The most touching part was when she was even reluctant to accept a job for it might conflict her time and devotion to our group activities. It was so selfless of her, knowing we are doing this for FREE. Being so true to our core vision to C.U.R.E.S. and the deep love for art. ArtLover? I can say, all the qualities are within my art partner Melissa.
   I had asked Melissa to go out from her comfort zone and create more meaningful artworks than just doing portraits (I myself is also guilty of), she had some great composition, but at times she had the tendency to play it safe. It is so nice to see, that lately she is pushing the limit of her creativity and are now coming up with her signature style. 
   What I would like to focus though here are her blog. Blog world had became a better place to visit since my friend Melissa came. Honestly, her blog had that specially quality that speaks from the heart without reservation. Depth, was an exact title for her blog, for deep within her innermost thoughts she is able to paint a beautiful landscape and seascape of her soul. There is always that touch of romantic nostalgia and the undeniable closeness to her faith. Central also her closeness to her supportive family and friends. Learning along the way and admitting the weakness of self. Depth is a blog worth revisiting for reflection, not just of one's self but of the world.

Crazy Pictures Fictions chapter 3 The Shadows

   Previously our dynamic duo Aaron Offord (disguised as Hemant Kumar) and Fher Ymas (disgusted as a story-teller) agreed for a journey to search for the mysterious disappearance of Melissa Tandoc...this is for the benefit of those bloggers busy blogging a blog so they could blog a blog, so this blog was not re-blog...(Blog!!!) That was Aaron hitting me on the head for some slapstick effect.

   "Shhhhh!!! Be quiet we are on a mission here." He said.

    Sometimes favourable things come under terrorizing disguises....!!! (line from Jerly Thinkingspace: Angels Carry Petrol)

   So they begin their search...in the Long and Winding Road (Jorie Pacli) when Aaron suddenly noticed they are being followed. He whispered to Fher "Stay calm..." he paused...looked around. 

   I noticed a little brown mound about a quarter mile ahead and a few mountains in the background. Then I noticed that the little brown mound was moving and as we got closer, I could see a head. It was our first grizzly sighting! (from JP Brandano: Photographing Alaska and Grizzlies)

   No don't panic it isn't actually a grizzly but a man with a high tech weapon...he was keeping an eye at the two of us...

      Ohhh wait...what? The long hair? It's a wig for disguised you know...and I've just shaved my mustache for this episode. "Let's go in that Restaurant..." Aaron said. "Pretend we didn't mind him." So we walk to this place...

   It looks like a church to me but Aaron said it's own by one of the best food expert in town Wan Maznah Wan Mohamad and the place is called Cooking-Varieties Cafe...In fairness the interior was fantastic...we personally met Wan and told us this place was already featured in a Magazine...She even showed to us the article My Studio is Published by Lisa Schmidt

   So we had our meal...served. We both share Serena Flower's custom made cake...he took the northern hemisphere and I waited till the Pacific ocean burst with tornado and icing....

   "Hey waiter where's the Philippines? Could you tell the chef our cake doesn't have my mother land on it!" I lost my appetite, this could have been my only chance to eat all the Filipinos in one bite...

   "I think we lost him..." Aaron said softly...

   "Who the Philippines?"

   "Silly! The guy that's been following us." Aaron and I looked around...observing any suspicious character.

   Someone is descending from the staircase...she appears to be on a rush...

   Hours passed by while our investigator is enjoying their drinks they didn't notice a shadow lurking from behind...

Why I like this one...it reminds me of one of my favorite Filipino legend "Ang Ibong Adarna" It's a mythical bird that when she sing's you'll fall asleep, and then once you're unconscious she will relieved her self on top of your head...and turn you into a stone. If we will discuss about our CREATOR, our GOD about PERFECTION then I may say that HE is always PERFECT and all HIS CREATION. Now, imperfection exist in us human beings when Adam and Eve decided to be separated from God when they disobey Him by eating the fruit of knowledge of good and evil... means they are taking the matters on their own hands... and mankind inherited that all. Now, we can only be made perfect if we will be brought back again to our God because it is HIS doing that is working in our lives not ours so we can not boast about it. Now, how can we brought back to our God... it is the sacrifice of His Son, Christ Jesus... His death on the Cross of Calvary that purchased us all... only if accept and believe it in our hearts that He, Jesus came to save us... He is our Savior. Then we can be made perfect again, so as the works of our hands. Good night everyone... and thanks Fher and Maheshwar ... and to everyone too :)

I'm still convincing Kaye to start a blog because I personally believe she will contribute greatly on this area.
